The Pantheon is one of the best-preserved of all Ancient Roman buildings. It was a temple dedicated to all gods and built between 118 and 125 AD. The Pantheon offers a spectacular play of light thanks to a central opening (oculus) of 9 meters wide. During storms, a drainage system below the floor – which consists of 22 invisible holes - handles the rain that falls through the oculus.
